A long line of citizens, headed by the Pioche brass baud, followed the remains to its last resting place, not 1 less than 300 being in line. Rev. W. G. Blakely officiated at the grave. A profound impression was made on the citizens for one short half hour at least, by the respect paid to the memory of this misguided and unfortunate man. S. C. Phillips, captured by Sheriff Kane on the Salt Lake stage, and charged with au assault with intent to ; commit murder, was examined before Justice McDonald on Monday. Phil-Hps Phil-Hps was required to give bonds in the sum of 5-2,u00, which whs promptly raised and he was released. |
