What direction the ball took is not known. The surgeons are now making un examination. Dr Heives, at Dayton, has been despatched for. Tho latest word is, that the ball did not penetrate the intestines and the I wound is not mortal. lie has perfect posse-sion of his faculties. The pistol i used was a Smith & Weston's. No one knows how it came to be discharged. The accident has produced intense excitement. ex-citement. The Commercial special from Lebanon, at 11 o'clock, says Vallmid igham is vomiting, which is regarded as nn unfavorable sign. One of his physicians said there were indications of internal hemorrhage.
