Show M.UOIt Om.K.V'M I'l'NEItAI,. The funeral of Major W . V. Otlley took place at Camp I'ouslaa on Suhdaj lafienioon, mid was attended by a huge number of ladie.i and gentlemen from this city. The remains of deceased, eloiluul in n dress suit, were encased in a liand.-onie casket upon which was a plalo bearing an inscription, giving name, age, ete. Tlio religious services were performed by liishop Tuttlo, ol the Episcopal church, in front of the Post Hospital whoro tlio Major died. Tlio coffin being placed in tho hearse tlio procession consisting of somo twenty twen-ty live carriages proceeded to the Camp Cemetery, where tlio remains were interred. Gen. Morrow, Pr. Yollitin and other officers of the post are entitled to much credit for their kindness to tho du-ceed du-ceed during his sickness and for the i assistance they rendered his friends in carrying out tho airaugeiiient of the obsequies. |
