Bandmann, Nei'son k Co-, Agronts Giant Powder Ce San Francisco, Cal.: Dkar Sirs: -In reply to your late favor, I RiYO you the following result of my working here: The coat of drifting, which cost under un-der the old system ot mining here, S40 per foot, with the single hand tyatem of working and Giant Powder I have reduced to a cost of $22 per foot, and when under tho old system sys-tem but one foot per day was driven, my men are easily making one and a half feet. Under the old system winzing (5 feet square) co8t $35 per foot, same is now costing me 324-75 per foot with tho same difference in time as shown in drifting. Under the oldsyatem, ourminecould nevor be made to yield exceeding 400 tons per month; with Giant Powder and single hand drilling, I am now furnishing monthly 1,000 tons at a reduced cost of at least per cent less per ton than under the old system. In conclusion will state that the neighboring neighbor-ing mine3, Ida Elmore and Oro Fino, influenced influ-enced by results in the Golden Chariot mine, have adopted single hand drilling and Giant Powdfr, to the utter exclusion of double hand work, large drills and common blasting Swder. In corroboration of redults in Gol-en Gol-en Ch.irioc mine. I refer you to the President Presi-dent and Board of Trustees, resident in your city. Yours, respectfully. JOH- F.
