Show GRAND LODGE OFFICERS Those Elected Yesterday to Serve During the Coming Year IMPORTANT CHANGES I LAWS CONSIDERED BY THE LODGE Decided to Stick to Annual Sessions of the Grand Body Redaction in Admission Pees and Duties to Subordinate Lodges HE second and last day of the session of the IiV grand lodge of the I O O F I for the jurisdiction et7 jurisdic-tion of Utah was nM v J quite a buy one and it was after j afer 11 p m before adjournment was had A considerable number of proposed new laws were brought before the lodge I some of which were laid on the table I without action The question of holding biennial sessions of the grand lodge was gnd i discussed at considerable length but the prevailing opinion was that annual sea sions were less expensive and les epenslve were really for the best Interest of the order and the present system was therefore contln ue contn A law was passed fixing the minimum fee for admission to membership In subordinate I sub-ordinate lodges and taking three degrees therein at 15 and the monthly dues were placed at a minimum of 50 cents being 5 tho first time in the history or the juris diction when the dues were made less than 1 a month About 5 members of the order received grand lodge degrees and post official de grees The election of officers for the ensuing ensulnJ year created lively interest and resulted ant resule as follows for both elective and appoint lye offices electve Grand master W O Carbis of High land lodge No 21 deputy grand master J M Breeze of Enterprise lodge No 15 grand warden L E Hubbard of Olive Branch lodge No S grand secretary Olve i J Moore of Utah lodge No1 grand gnd treasurer Eph Homer of Provo lodge No OfH grand chaplain C AV lodge I ris of Fidelity lodge No 1 grand marshal I mar-shal W I Snyder of Park City lodge No f 7 grand conductor A J Anderson of Ogden lodge No 5 grand guardian C II Roberts of Bingham lodge No 10 grand I i herald C C Higgins of Mercur gand i I 2o grand messenger W F House of rinfodr No 4 I The next session of the grand body will be held In this city commencing on commencng tho third Tuesday In April 15 |
