Show RETIRED FOUR NOTES i Ajax Mining Company Met Its Maturing Obligations COPPEROPOLIS PAPER PAD 11 INVOLVED A TEX THOUSAND DOLLAR INTERCHANGE Operations on thc Cleveland Consolidated Con-solidated Mining Companys Properties Prop-erties to Be Discontinued on Account Ac-count of Lack of Means Hard Times Group In the Camp Floyd District Bonded Geyser Mill Op crating Fully Great Snowing Being Made In the BullIonBeeU Merctir Cyanides Sent East General Gen-eral Mining News o Although the notes were not technically techni-cally due until this afternoon the Ajax Mining company yesterday paid four of the notes held by Trustee Hanauer of the Salt Lake City Copper Manufacturing Manu-facturing company and given on the purchase price of the Copperopolis The payments involved the exchange of 10000 one of the notes being for 5000 and the others for 2500 each This retires a little less than onehalf of the indebtedness shouldered in the Copperopolis purchase the aggregate payments made to date being a little short of 20000 leaving some 23000 still due The payment of these notes is the result of the refusal of Mr Harrison Harrson holder of the McCornick Co notes to permit of another continuance for sixty days The formal request was made by the board of directors of the company but Mr Harrison remaining firm in the position which he had taken it was found to be impossible to effect a settlement without the payment pay-ment of the money due and in accordance accord-ance Messrs Dlclntyre and Knox raised the money yesterday morning and the payments were made General Manager McIntyre left for the mines of the company yesterday evening for the purpose of inspecting the properties |
