Show ANNA DICKINSONS CASE I Declined to Uathe and Saw Poison in Coffee Scranton Pa March 29In the A I na Dickinson damage suit now on I trial in the United States circuit court her today May Beichline of the Danville Dan-ville Insane asylum testified that while the plaintiff was an inmate of the institution she declined to bathe and said she saw crystals of poison in the coffee and refused to drink itS i it-S H Briden one of Miss Dickinsons I neighbors testified that he saw her out at night in the winter time in very thin apparel His attention was attracted at-tracted to her by her loud cries Dr Johnson her physician swore that once when he was visiting her in his professional capacity she drew him down to her and kissed him He I was not prepared to swear whether she had been drinking or was insane Dr Underwood one of the defendants defend-ants in the suit brought by Miss Dickinson I Dick-inson told the jury that he had assisted as-sisted In removing her to the asylum He said that they had to put on her I clothes by force when they went to remove her from her room at home He considered her insane I is probable that Miss Dickinson tomorrow will address the jury in her own behalf I |
