Show LIGHT FOR PROVO Council Accepts Proposition From Lighting Company Special Correspondence Provo May 16Last night the city council met In regular session and among other business considered and accepted the following prop slton of the Provo Lighting company Monthly Schedule First 32candlo flower Incandescent lights to Provo for I lighting streets all night service 5 cents per light operated without expense to the city Second Sixteen candle power Incan descent lamps to residences all night service at tho following rate One lamp 75 cents two lamps 0 cents three lamps 1 ThIrdA meter rate of twothirds of one cent for each sixteen candle power lamp per hour that Is at the rate of twothirds of one cent for a lamp consuming con-suming tt two watts for residence only wit a minimum meter charge of 160 3100FourthSixteen Fourth Sixteen candle power incandescent descent lamps all night service for business busi-ness houses 5 cents per light Fifth Arc lamps for business houses 2000 candle power 10 oclock service 5 12 oclock W all night 10 The acceptance of this proposition practically solves the electric light problem prob-lem which has been worrying tho city fathers for tome eight months or more Postholes are being dug along J and Seventh street and It will be but a short I time before the new company will have everything in readiness for furnishing lights to all who want them In the city I The resignation of Judge Booth as president of the council was accepted last night The names of A L Booth and Bishop W J Lewis were mentioned as his successors but no action was takenand the council was adjourned to meet next Monday |
