Show AMBITIOUS SAOTY The Thriving Burg Will Soon Bo Au Incorporated Torn Favorable Action on the Petition bj thu County Court Taxes Held by the County Collector The county court met at 2 oclock yesterday yes-terday afternoon with all members present pres-ent The first matter taken up was the petition peti-tion of 100 residents ot Sandy that they be allowed to incorporate The Bingo Smelter company appeared by its attorney attor-ney W C Ball and opposed the granting grant-ing of the petition on the ground that their property would be taken into the city limits and excessively taxed C E Allen appeared for the Detitioners end the matter was thoroughly presented to the court After listening to the arguments argu-ments for and against the incorporation Selectman Morris moved that the prayer of the petition be granted and the county attorney instructed to draft a resolution for the action of the court at its next meeting On roll call all members voted in the affirmative and the motion was declared carried The county attorney was instructed to take what stops he deemed necessary to compel the county collector to turn over to the countv treasurer the sum of 38000 collected from the banks of the city and paid undo jrotebt The v unty coroner reported having held an inquest upon the body of Joseph Hass Flied E B Wicks petitioned for relief from a double assessment Referred to the county attorney The applications of Fritz Miller of Bingham and J A Connelly of Murray for licenses to sell intoxicating liquors we e granted and bonds approved Adjourned till Saturday afternoon at 2 oclock |
