ari ed yesterday brought in delegates to what promises to be the greatest I meeting of cattlemen over held in the west Iho Union Pacific passenger from tho east which arrived at 1115 a m brought In fully thirty delegates mostly from Omaha and Kan gas City The Rio Grande Western did fully as well and brought in a large number last evening even-ing Tho attendance is going to far overreach the anticipations ol the committee on arrangements arrange-ments W E Skinner of the South Omaha Union Stock Yards company arrived a tUy in adVance Vance of the delegates from his city and at once fitted up elegant headquarters in the Reed hotel and across the entrance to the room is seen in broad glittering letters let-ters South Omaha Headquarters Colonel SUinncr is the cher or the delegation and Tery efficiently does ho officiate in that capacity Ho is a rustler from the word go and takes upon himself to see that none of the boys suffer for the want of any luxury ihe only fault the members of the delegation could find wth him was that he had on hand a larger supply of Ogden river water than any thing else unless it was cigars The colonel assured them however as soon as the cigars and water have arrived The Rio Grande Western and the Burlington l Missouri have offered the South Omoha delegation dele-gation the choice of their routes The Colorado Midland will coney the Kansas City delegation to Denver The visitors attended the theatre last evening even-ing and witnessed The Power of the Press A Captain B M Spivey superintendent of the jf Ogden Street railway tendered the visitors the usa of special cars and gave them a ride overall over-all the electric lines At the end of the journey the guests gave the efficient superintendent three cheers of thanks for his
