Show High Water in Parleys Mr Ferguson came in from Park City on Sunday and reports very high water in the canyons In many places the road is submerged or washed away making traffic both difficult and dangerous for the Hater Ha-ter la very rapid and in many places up to a horses belly on the roadMr Ferguson noticed that about twenty rods of the grade built by the Utah Eastern railway company had been washed away This volume of water wa-ter is extending the breadth RAnd depth of the lake which surrounds the residences of Hon George Q Cannon and others at the sopth western corner of the city The pnly way that the property in that section sec-tion can be effectually protected is I by deepening the channel of the l river so that it can carry off the 1 spring freshets Until this is done it will be impossible to prevent the overflow of those low lands whenever when-ever there is an average snowfall in the mountains |
