Show Funeral Services The funeral services of George Clark late a member of the Salt Lake Fire Brigade were conducted at the Seventeenth Ward Schoolhouse School-house on Sunday Bishop Tingey presiding The hall was filled The brigade were in uniform and wore crape They executed the singing exercises The discourse was del v ered by Elder 0 W Penrose wto i was followed briefly by Elder Jabez W Taylor The remains were followed fol-lowed to the cemetery by the brigade brig-ade on the march their brass band prforming dirges on the way a long line of carriages bringing up the rear rhe entire ceremonies were respectful and impressive At a meeting of the firemen yesterday yes-terday the following resolutions were presented and adopted Messrs James Peacock John Fowler and James White being the drafting coinmitte Whereas the grpat ruler of the uni varfi bus m his infinite wisdom removed from our midst our rorthy and esteemed brother m d fellow firemen therefore DQ it Resolved that we as member of the Alert Engine Company No 3 to which hn belonged deeply regret his loss and deire to emulate his example Ecsolieii that we attend the funeral and sbw our respect to the remains of our honored co laborer Jieso veil that with deep sympathy wi h the afflicted relatives and friends of ho decoded we express an earnest hope that even so great a bereavement may bo overruled for their highest good Resolved that the apparatus of our company be draped in inurning for thirty dy8 and that we present a Cpy of theso resolutions to his relatives ard publish the same in the city papers |
