When we said in a recent is.me that Janti's business for Jarch amounted to $14.70, we did not say that was all, but will give them credit for $1355-3- more, making in all $1470. There was more than this amount of busines done at the Manti Statien but it was from other points. The figures quoted are for Janti alone. Schoby, of Manti, had been discovered in the Railway yards at Thistle in a very bad state, and unless medical aid could be secured he would die soon. Heart disease was supposed to be the cause. Mr. Meilstrup wept to Manti to see the sick man's wife about it, but before anything could be done word was received over the wires that he s dead. Several parties from Maati went over to Thistle this morning after the body. Many years practice has given C. A. Snow It Co., Solicitors oi Patents at Washington, D. General Passenger and Freight Agent J. II. liennett of the Rio Grande Western will return to Salt Lake Saturday and repair his fences. The other day he left here for Den-ver where he was joined by General Manager Dodge and together they journed to a railway business meet-ing at Kansas City. The gentlemen had intended remaining away a fort- - night but the existing condition of attairs caused Mr. Jlennett to return sooner than expected. It may be news to the public to learn that a three cornered fight be-tween officials of the R. G. W. has been on for some time. The prin-cipals are General Passenger Agent J. H. Bennett, Superintentlent A. E. Welby and Auditor T. Geddes. Within a day or so Mr. Welby has been issuing the passes and naturally enough the public is expecting some thing will drop. Rumor says that P. J. Flynn has) been tendered the general passenger agent's position of the R. G. W. That he will accept it there is not a bit of doubt and he is expected to be in the saddle in a short time. Mr. Flynn is a practical railroad man and the other day was appoint-ed agent of the Utah association, consisting of the D. & R. G., C. M., R. G. W. and U. P. His head quarters are at Denver but he can attend to the duties of the association in his office at the board of trade building in Salt Lake without in-convenience. Mr. liennett has held his position with the R. G. W. since October, 1886. Salt Lake Times. itouuty Locals.
