He received his Pilot Wings April 18 after completing 15 months of training. Elliot graduated top of his class and received the distinguished graduate award and outstanding achievement award. During his 15 months of training Elliot learned to fly Bell Jet Ranger TH 67, Kiowa Warrior OH 58, and Blackhawk UH 60 helicopters. He will now be attached to the 5th-159 Medvac unit as a Blackhawk Pilot. Elliot served 1 tour of duty in Iraq with the 2nd - 285th Air Assault in 2009-2010. Cook asparagus in boiling water for 3 minutes. Drain, and then take out 2 tablespoons of liquid to use later. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Saute the shrimp pieces until the color changes, about 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in asparagus with reserved 2 T saved liquid , and season with ginger, soy sauce, sugar, (may substitute with water) sherry and salt to taste. Continue to cook for 5 more minutes.
