Mark Watson's Eagle Project a success CHERYL OVARD SCN Editor Mark Watson is a member of the Rhodes Valley Ward, Kamas Stake. As he approached his 17th birthday he wanted to do an Eagle project. His first call was to Summit County's Mike Crystal, who directed him to Arborist, Jason Barto. They were planning on planting trees at the Marion Park to plant about 15 trees along the trail and he needed help. There were many volunteers who showed up including locals and as far away as Provo and across town. There were many other items donated or brought in to use to expedite the tree planting the four hour time frame. Mark was in charge of calling around and was able to find tree mulch, top soil, steer manure, tree stakes from Steve Green Company, compost. His father's co-worker brought up several weed eaters to use. The county provided the dumpsters, water tank, large equipment including a back hoe and other equipment. Wheelers donated dirt, and Kamas Food Town donated water and members brought snacks. Trees were donated by many different companies, including ArborDocs and Rocky Mountain Power, A compressor to use from North Face Construction. Other sponsors included; Kamas Soil, Conservation District, Timber, Sargent, and Kamas Valley Lions. Mark Watson is a member of the Rhodes Valley Ward, Kamas Stake. Obituaries Norma Alene Clegg Norma Alene Clegg passed away on May 10, 2013, in Heber City. She was born on Jan. 23, 1926, in Marion, Utah, to Clifford and Florence (Sorenson) Mitchell. She married Harold Clegg in Marion on April 5, 1946. Norma "Ma Rodeo" loved to spend time with her family going to rodeos. She also enjoyed crocheting and making quilts. She is survived by her sons: Danny (Georgia) Clegg, of Coalville; Jack (Darlene) Clegg; Mick (Jerri Sue) Clegg, and Kelly (Tammy) Clegg, all of Marion. Brothers: Phillip "Butch" Mitchell, of Kamas, and Lynn "Ping" (Joyce) Mitchell, of Coalville, and her sister-in-law, Joyce Mitchell of Oakley. Also 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold, and daughter-in-law Debra McNeil Clegg. Brothers: Bill, Sam, John, and Glenn "Short"; her sister, Erma Roundy, and an infant sister June. Also a granddaughter, Danielle. Special thanks to the staff of Rocky Mountain Care for their kind compassion in caring for our mother and grandmother. Funeral service were held on Tuesday, May 14, in the Kamas LDS Stake Center in Marion. Interment was in the Marion Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home — Kamas. Online guestbook at crandallfhevanston. corn Kay Gleason Lambert 1934 — 2013 Kay Gleason Lambert passed away peacefully on May 12, 2013, giving his mom Mark Watson thought this would be a great Eagle Project! a Mother's Day visit. He lived 79 years filled with learning. Kay was born to Frank and Thora Lambert in Kamas. Kay enjoyed 58 years married to Lou Ann Rigby. They have 15 children, 66 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Viewings will be held on Sunday, May 19, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., and on May 20, from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 20, at 12 noon.
