Show OBITUARIES SUMMIT COUNTY NEWS PAGE B4 Maxine Miles Lefler Maxine Miles Lefler, loving mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, great-greatgrandmother, aunt, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on Mother's Day May 13, 2012, at the home of her daughter in Heber City. She was a long time residence of Las Vegas, Nevada. Born Oct. 20, 1921, in Tabiona, the 6th of seven children of Guy and Susie Millner Miles. She moved to Kamas when she was a small child and grew up there. She attended school at South Summit. After High School she attended B.Y.U. She married Ray R. Lefler on June 26, 1941. They had four children: Micheal (Mick) (Leslie) Lefler, Marsha (Jerry) Lee James (Phil) (Karen) Lefler Barry Miles Lefler. Maxine had three of her four children on the same day within the same hour. She spoke of the day with three separate birthday parties. She was a very special Mom. She enjoyed bowling and bowled each week until 2010. She crochet and made several afghans which she gave to her family. She loved taking care of her beautiful yard and flowers. She mowed her own grass at age 88. She was very independent - she hated the thought of being taken care of. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed visits from each and everyone. She will truly be missed. Maxine is preceded in death by both parents; husband; 2 sons, Mick and Miles; grandson Jeff Lee; sisters Lucille and Virginia; brothers Roy and Jack. Survived by children; sisters Belva (Joe) Jenkins and Arlene Daniels; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; 1 greatgreat-grandchild. The He is survived by his children: Ronald (Brooke) Shaw, Jill (Ed) Drury, Suzanne (Curtis) Hall. Grandchildren: Hilary (Zac) Cheney, Jenny (Dan) Herzog, Stacey Shaw, Brandon (Stacy) Hall, Luke Shaw. Great grandchildren: Bridger and Carson Cheney, Sidney, Sawyer, and Caroline Herzog. Siblings Renee (George Earl) Bennett, Keith Shaw. Preceded in death by parents Myrtle Bowen and Ronald Earl Shaw, daughterin-law Caralyn Staheli Shaw. We will be celebrating Darwin's life with a graveside service May 26, 10 a.m., at the Coalville City Cemetery. Instead of flowers or cards, Darwin would love us to pay his good deeds forward to others who may need help. Even while struggling with COPD and CHF he was cheerful, uncomplaining and willing to help others. His good deeds, woodworks, metal works, and inventions will be remembered by family, friends and neighbors. Darwin liked hunting, fishing, and family reunions. He liked Utah, but he loved Wyoming.
