Friends and family are welcome to give their condolences and visit his gravesite. Little Angels Jibril Sultan Alshareef Jibril Sultan Alshareef left this earth in the arms of his parents on Friday, July 22, 2011. His family was blessed to be with their little angel for five weeks to be able to hold, kiss, love him and get to know him during his brief mission on this earth. He touched the hearts of many and he will be missed very much by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Jibril (Gabriel) is our Guardian Angel. Jibril was born on June 16, 2011, in American Fork, and is the son of Charity Richins Alshareef, of Henefer, and Sultan Pete Peterson Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Marvin "Pete" Peterson, passed away on July 20, 2011. Pete was born on Oct. 2, 1946, in Salt Lake City, to Marvin and Dorothy Peterson. Pete loved the great outdoors and for that reason, he and Judy moved back to Utah in 1995 to build their dream house while Pete was working with Nestle Foods in Springfield, UT. Pete, Judy and his son, Jason, decided to open their own auto parts store, Uinta Auto Parts in Kamas. His love of business, and his passion for hard work, made his business very successful. It also allowed him the opportunity to fish and explore the same lakes and streams he enjoyed as a kid. Pete will also be remembered for his love of the slots and a great poker game with family and friends. He was the first to make you laugh and more often than not, the winner of the pot! Pete loved being a husband, father, grandfather and a really good friend. He enjoyed a very happy marriage of 46 years to Judy Peterson. Their combined love of animals and the great outdoors made their bond even more special. Pete is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Kim (Mike) Hulse, and son, Jason (Stephanie) Peterson. Grandchildren, Matthew (serving in Afghanistan), Kyle, Sierra and Mason, and great-grandchild, Lyla. He is also survived by siblings, Nancy (Ken) Branam and Bruce Peterson. Father-inlaw, Tom Driver, and brotherin-law Tommy Driver. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Dorothy Peterson; brother John Peterson, sister and brother-in-law Audrey and Wayne Johnston and sister and brother-in-law Phyllis and Dellas Long. A heartfelt thank you to Johnny Dale Driver for being an incredible brother-in-law and caregiver to Pete for the past several years and always bringing a smile to Pete's face. The family would like to thank the staff at Elk Meadows Assisted Living and the residents of Kamas City, as well as surrounding areas, for their loving care always treating Pete like he was a member of their own family. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 26, in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 100 West Center, Heber City. Interment followed in the Heber City Cemetery. Jimmie was born on April 5, 1941, in Coalville, to Clifton and Francis Ellen Gines. He was the youngest of seven children; Mona Leavitt, June Jones, Max Gines, Blaine Gines, Lee Gines, and Jeanette Perkes. He was raised in Woodland and graduated from South Summit High School. Jimmie married his sweetheart, Betty Williams on Feb. 17, 1961. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Feb. 14, 1980. Jimmie and Betty raised 6 children: Gary (Diane) Gines, Sally (Stacy) Salmans, Brent (Sheri) Gines, Kim (Eric) Thompson, Kristin (Aaron) Phipps and Susan (Charles) Homan. Jimmie was a faithful member of the LDS Church where he held many callings. He was a dutiful civil servant holding many positions including city councilman, school board and summit county health board. He worked at Crandall Ford Mercury in Coalville for 37 years as an auto body repairman. He worked at Olympic Park after retirement driving a tour bus. He loved driving and met many people. Jimmie loved the mountains where he spent countless hours hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as a diligent provider, loving husband and father and comedian to the end. Jimmie is survived by his wife Betty of 50 years; 6 children, 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sisters Mona and June, and brother Blaine. He is preceded in death by father Clifton Gines; mother, Francis Ellen Gines; brothers, Max and Lee, and sister, Jeanette. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, at 11 a.m., at the Kamas LDS Church. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service. Internment will be at the Francis Cemetery. Brown on Oct. 11, 1941. Their marriage was later solemnized in The Salt Lake LDS Temple. They made their home on the farm which they purchased from LeRoy J Meadows "Roy" LeRoy J Meadows, died July 22, 2011, at home with his family by his side. Roy died less than 100 feet from where he was born on May 30, 1920, the youngest of nine children, to John Benjamin and Mary Jane Wilde Meadows. He was raised on the family farm up Chalk Creek, east of Coalville. Roy graduated from North Summit High School, where he enjoyed boxing, which he continued for a short time after graduation. Roy married Bessie his parents. He retired from the State UDOT in 1982, where he had worked for 33 years. He retired to work on the farm and ranch, where he raised cattle and hay. He had a love and a unique connection with the animals he cared for. He was at his happiest when on the farm and with his grandchildren, whom he loved. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 69 years, Bessie; three children, Dianna Lynn Meadows, Robert Bradley Meadows, Val LeRoy Meadows (Mitzie); grandchildren, Glade Robinson, Tyler Meadows, Brady (Lindsay) Meadows, Aimee Wilde (Cody); seven great grandchildren; and one greatgreat-grandchild . Preceded in death by his four sisters and four brothers; a granddaughter, Meredith Robinson, and a grandson, Travis Robinson. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 28, at the Coalville LDS Stake Center, in Coalville. Interment took place in the Coalville City Cemetery. Go Classifieds!
