find anything to change in existing rates on coal shipped to southern Idaho from Utah mines Examiner Dlsque Tues- day filed his preliminary report with the interstate commerce commission and recommended dismissal of the Gooding complaint' The burden of the complaint against class and commodity rate was that Idaho points pay higher rates than prevail between Salt Lake City and San Francisco But the examiner point out that there is far greater density of traffic between 8alt Lake City and San Frann cisco than over the cutoff and that operation over the cuttoff Is necessarily high because there is virtually no local traffic He further finds along that line that the commodity rates assailed are In most instances considerably lower than those applying from and to the same points via Salt Lake City and Ogden and are low compared with the rates to various points In mountain Pacific territory for similar distances He stresses the point that Idaho has developed and prospered under the present rate adjustment and Is In better financial condition than many other western Baldridge announced Tuesday Representatives of the various contending factions in the valley will be called to a meeting with the board and the numerous problems brought up that have led to two dynamiting!
