The Knit Wits Club held Roy City Clearfield City ' DECEMBER 14, 1878 Officers were dispatched to assist at a fire at Building at Freeport Center. The call was cancelled when the fire department found employes were wily fogging the building. Dale Smith, 1159 W. 2000 N., Layton, reported his vehicle struck at the Clearfield High parking lot. A barking dog complaint is being investigated. Jack Burton, 37, 1517 Binford, Ogden, was taken to the police department following a speeding charge. A disorderly person was reported at Greens Country Store, 1296 W. 300 N., but departed before officers arrived. A prowler report in the area of Ann Street was investigated with negative results. He reported someone had apparently tried to remove the drive shaft from his vehicle because when he moved it, the drive shaft fell out. A driving complaint involving motorcycles in the area of 5850 S. 2050 W. was checked with neptive results. Bonnie Woodland, 2378 W. 4925S., reported personal papers and $1.50 change taken from a locker at Roy High. Robert Bowman, 6072 S. 2125 W. reported a $90 girls school ring missing from his daughters coat. She is employed at Burger King, where the theft possibly took place. An accident at 4400 S. 1900 W. involved Ryan Unck, 4494 S. 1975 W and Ted Russell Bradford, 3227 Jefferson. Roy High reported $40 damage when a door was apparently damaged by vandals. Bar checks were made at Jimmies Lounge and Lews Supper Club. Everything appeared to be in order. DECEMBER 18, 1978 Robert Day, custodian at Roy North Stake Center, 4900 S. 2000 W., reported a $40 fire extinguisher missing. Nayland West, 2152 W. 5750 S., reported about two dozen in Christmas lights missing. Value estimated at $10. An accident at 5400 S. 1900 W. involved Norma Brenchley, 2431 W. 4800 S. and Elizabeth Bosticle, 2312 S. 1800 W., Syracuse. While investigating a possible burglary in progress, officers found two juveniles in possession of what appeared to be marijuana. They were taken to the police station and released to their parents. Carol Eames, 5197 S. 2000 W. was involved in an accident with a pedestrian, Todd Fowers, 4679 S. 2400 W., at 5700 S. 1900 W. The boy was taken to McKay Dee Hospital. Police reports show that the woman did not contribute to the accident. Deborah M unsun, 441 Canyon Rd., Ogden, and Doyle Egan, 1977 Ridge Rd., Layton, were involved in an accident at 5400 S 1900 W An accident at 1900 W. 5600 S. involved Caren Mellars, 4488 S. 2350 W., and Eve Hennefer, 4250 S. 1000 W, Ogden. Ronald Lawrence Mitchell, 53, 1243 Valhalla Dr., Clearfield, was charged with driving under the influence. She will be having more surgery on her legs. Kip and Sandy Clark are parents of a baby girl, born last week. They now have six children in their family. A group of friends met at the Hermitage in Ogden Canyon, recently, for a Christmas party and dinner. The ladies in the group meet once a month, and invite their husbands or partners to meet with them in December for a party. The group this father passed away last week in Ogden. Tables were decorated in the traditions of Christmas, when Polly Hammon Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers Marilyn Whinham, and Doreen Ralph Bateman and their family and Whittemore, Allyson daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Whittemore, will be leaving right after Christmas for a visit with relatives. She will fly first to Atlanta, Georgia to visit with relatives there, and then on the Panama City, Florida to visit her grandparents.
