Jones and was ordered to pay fines totaling $187, or serve 37 days in Jail. On some of the cases, court records showed, as many as 1$ plea, trial and sentencing dates previously had been . , granted. FOUR BENCH warrants had been issued. Three Jail committments had been issued In lieu of payment of fines. The woman was in the police patrol wagon and en route to city Jail to pay or serve the time," when Officer David R. Nicholson, traffic division, interceded before the court and the police wre ordered to return the woman to court AT THE REQUEST of the officer, the woman was granted another continuance to Dec. 6 to pay the accumulated fines. The court ordered that the officer is to be personally fines if the woman falls to pay by that - date. Court case files showed that from Jan. 20, 1961, to Nov. 24, 1962, the woman had accumulated 18 citations for overtime parking violation, one for violation of prohibited parking ordinance, two for driving a vehicle with faulty equipment, two for restricted parking violation, six for leaving a vehicle unattended (with keys in ignition). THE WOMAN had been granted 13 dates in 1962. On a Nov. 20, 1961, citation for f with no operators license and improper turn; "she had beep granted 19 dates, 16 of , them in 1962, on a July 6, 1961, citation for. driving with no operators license. ALSO IN THE accumulation of citations were one for speed- ing on June 16, 1962, another for speeding April .28, 1962, , another for speeding and no operators license Issued Oct. 3, 1962, and one for improper issued May 8, 1962. Asst. Chief Marvin J. Butterfield said an Investigation into the conduct of Officer . Nicholson indicated no viola- tion of rules and regulations.
