L TEAM The Oregon Short Line basketball team returned yesterday afternoon from Evanston, Wyo., where they were defeated by a score of 89 to 8 at the bands of the Union Paciflo railroad basketeera Saturday night. The newly ertmea Cache Valley division of tha Utah' High School Athletic association was started on its activity program yesterday when the coaches of the five high schools met here to draw up the basketball schedule and to discuss plans for tha season. Official for th game were also agreed upon. f Professor W. W. Henderson,, president of the Brigham Toung college, was elected representative of this division on tfa state high school board of control to succeed Norman Hamilton, who resigned. This Is the first yeah that ths Oneida academy of Prsston has taken part as a member of the Utah Athletic association. Although this place is in Idaho, it is so isolated from all other prep schools of that state that no games with Idaho Institutions can conveniently be carried out. Preston is close to Utah and has always been considered In activities of ths Cache valley, especially in athletics.
