Show Free Press - Wednesday, April 30, 1986 - Page 12 Life never dull for Lehi police Life is never dull at the Lehi Police Department. Officers have investigated reports of gas skips, runaways, discharging firearms within the city limits, burglaries, fender benders, and several cases of criminal mischief. Office Chad Smith investigated a citizen's complaint that her dog had been shot and a gas skip at Maverik store was reported. The clerk was able to get the license number of a vehicle and police are investigating the incident. Sometime during in the morning hours on March 18 someone taped duct tape to the rear of some cars parked behind the armory and on the west side of Pykettes over to the fence of the National Guard compound. When the owner of one of the cars attempted to remove it the tape took paint right along with it. Investigation is continuing. Officer Kirkpatrick Police responded to a citizen's call to check out a motorcycle that was being driven recklessly on April 22. Lehi youth was A and given a ticket for apprehended reckless driving. Another case of criminal mischief was reported when someone threw 20 eggs at a home in Lehi. Police are still investigating the incident. , A runaway girl was found and taken to the Department of Family Services. Officers Zimmerman and Ferguson responded to . the call when the girl's mother reported her missing An auto burglary was reported when the owner of a vehicle reported the theft of a leather coat, tape box with cassettes, rifle, and several other items. There are no suspects. Investigation is continuing in a case of sexual abuse of a chid. A old Lehi man is a suspect in the case. Cases of vandalism occurred when someone sprayed painted obscenities on a car and police checked on a theft report when a trap belonging to Lehi City was missing. Several traffic accidents reported including one where $800 in damages was done to the two vehicles involved. Two cases of Driving Under the Influence were reported, as well as a case of criminal mischief in which a 4 by 8 front window was broken by a 1 . Next 7 Days parked on West State Street was slashed. In another malicious mischief report three suspects were throwing rocks from an overpass. Three injuveniles are suspects in the cident. Someone threw a piece of wood and hit the windshield of an auto owned by a Lehi citizen, and some jewelry was reported missing from a home in Lehi. The theft of $6$ from a local car wash was reported and fiver teenagers are suspects in the case. An assault case was investigated when the front tooth of the victim was loosened, and a case of public intoxication was reported.' A suspect in the latter incident ws booked into the county jail. A case of theft and forgery has abeen cleared up, and an auto ""theft is still under investigation. Theft and Vandalism .were reported when persons unknown broke out the right front window of the victim's car and took her purse. Several rolls of silver half dollars were reported stolen. There is a suspect in the case according to Officer Chad Smith; J A Lehi father reported a case of an obscene phone call and some tools were reported missing from, a truck in another incident. Two bicycles were reported stolen from a Lehi residence. There are no suspects at the present time. Lehi , girl was A reported missing according , to a runaway report filed at the police station.
