DAVIS COUNTY ' BANKER DIES WOODS CROSS Funeral arrangements ar-rangements for James Alanson El-dredge, El-dredge, 83, Davis county business man and bank founder, were being made Wednesday after his death Tuesday morning at his homo In Woods Cross. Mr. Eidredge was founder and former president of tha Bountiful State bank; was for two years president of tha Woods Cross Can-M Can-M ning company, and formerly was resident of the Eidredge Brothers lvestock company. Ha waa born in Salt Lake City. February 15, 18S7, a son of Horace S. and Hannah Adams Eidredge. When he was five years old the family moved to Woods Cross. In 1R82 he moved to a ranch near Chesterfield, Idaho, where he resided re-sided until he returned to Salt Lake City. After residing two years In Sslt Lake City, he returned to Woods Cross: Chorea. Worker Mr. Eidredge was an alternate member of the Davis L. D. S. stake high council. He was ordained a high priest In 1903 and was appointed ap-pointed first counselor to President Joseph H. Grant of tha Davis stake In 1904, He also had served as iu-"perintendent iu-"perintendent of the West Bountiful Bounti-ful Sunday school and had fulfilled ful-filled two missions for the L. D. S. church. In addition to his other banking duties, he was a vice president of tha Davis County bank at Farm-lngton. Farm-lngton. Served Stata Mr. Eidredge served !r. the Utah stata legislature from 1907 to 1908. In addition to his widow, Mrs. May Eidredge, he Is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert Alvln Moss, Bountiful; five brothers, A. U, Clarence and Horton A. Eidredge, Woods Cross, and Ben R. and Horace Hor-ace R. Eidredge, Salt Lake City; four sisters, Mrs. John L. Fack-re Fack-re 11, Woods Cross, and Mrs. Lee Greene Richards and Mrs. William Bateman, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Theodore L. Genter of Akron, Ohio; eight grandchildren and three great-grandch 1 1 d re n. His first wife, Mrs. Jane Jennings Eidredge, Ei-dredge, died many years ago. |
