Show Death of Joseph A. Yonng. Early yesterday morning the startling start-ling intelligence was circulated in this city that on the evening previous Joseph A. Young, President B. Young's eldest son, had suddenly died in Manti, San Pete county; and as the news was told a feeling of sadness sad-ness seized many hearts. Only last ! week deceased was in the city, aud apparently in good health. lie left on Friday morning, attended meetings meet-ings on tlie way south, and arrived in Manti on Wednesday. While going through Salt Creek aiuon, from Jtub to San Pete valley, he was attacked with congestive chills, and from that hour to his death, which occurred at S,45 p.m., Thursday, h Buffered considerably, con-siderably, although at no lime was he thought to be dangerously ill. He walked about the town on Thursday, attending to business matters, only occasionally complaining complain-ing of ill-health, until at the hour above, he was seized with severe cramps, during which he oxpired. The body left Manti at 4 30 yesterday morning, and reached tha city by special train last night. Joseph A. Young was born in Kirt-land, Kirt-land, Geauga county, Ohio, October 14th, 1S34. He was with his parents during the early days of the Mormon church, and came with them to this territory, where he has since resided, having been absent only occasionally on buiinefS. He was a man possessed posses-sed of more than ordinary intetiigeuco quick perception, and an active, ready brain, and these qualities, with a fine, physical organization, and manly energy, combined to make of him a thorough wide-awake, active business niiin. For the last two or three years he resided in Sevier county, which was represented by him in the legislative council.
