Show IS FiBST WHITE CHILD B01 1 WYOMING - Isaac Bullock of. Lone Tree, Wyo., died this morning at 8:10 o'clock, in Ogden, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. Ray iHlnchcliff, rear 540 Twenty-eighth street. He had been in Ogden' eight weeks, having come here from California, Cali-fornia, where he went last fall in search of health. Mr. Bullock was the son of Isaac and Electa Wood Bullock, and was the first white child born in Wyoming. Wyom-ing. He was born at Fort Bridger, then known as Fort Supply, Sept. 19, 1857, and when he was eight days of age the family was driven out of Wyoming by Johnson's army, the mother traveling with her babe in a covered wagon. They located at Provo, Utah, which city is still considered con-sidered the. family home. After living liv-ing in Provo for a number of years after his marriage, Mr. Bullock returned re-turned to Wyoming and the family was 'the first to settle on Beaver creek, where his large ranches are now located. He entered upon the business of raising cattle, becoming prominently Identified with the Wyoming Cattlemen's association, and for many years had been widely known among the cattlemen of the west. The deceased was a member of the Mormon church and, with his wife, was active in the work of that organization or-ganization both in Utah and Wyoming. Wyom-ing. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. J. Ray Hinchcliff and Electa Bullock, Ogden; Mrs. A. E. Rae, Lyman, Ly-man, Wyo.; I. O. Bullock, Gideon W., Alan L., Irene and Mary Bullock, of Lone Tree, Wyo. The body was removed to the Lind-qUist Lind-qUist mortuary and will be shipped to Provo, Thursday, for the funeral and Interment. |
