college building at logan under under the auspices of the board of trustees consisting of meagre mccornick mck and of salt lake judge cros crom cro s of ogden hills and brown of provo and hammond ammond II and olsen of cache county I 1 chairman mccornick mccormick was master of ceremonies and at 10 called the vat assemblage which had congregated in the auditorium of the building filling the and gallery to their utmost capacity to order those attending comprised the best class of people in logan city and cache county the invocation was offered by apostle moses thatcher Tb atcher in n beautiful and impressive Imp language mrs it W stoin sloan then rendered with exquisite skill a piano solo which was D followed with an introductory address on the rise and progress 0 of agricultural education and the aims of this institution by prof J W sanborn president of the college A bass solo a 1 was then well rendered by mr la morea moreaux az ox this wat was followed by an eloquent address by gov thomas delivered in hit his earnest and impressive manner which elicited frequent applause mrs eddy now an educator in in salt SaIt lake who wag on missionary missi mis siona onay y work in india with her hu husband shand a lady highly cultivated and educated of rare talent and most moa elquest el ot and pleasing address then spoke on the higher education of women and delivered what was
