At tho meeting Mrs. Ezra Rich Rich read a paper on "Old Tapestries'' and Mrs John Culley gavo current events Twelve members of the club were present nnd Mrs Wade Johnson was a guests for the afternoon. The event was held at the Maids' and Matron-club Matron-club and following iho regular affairs, luncheon was served. Out flowers in vases adorned the table and a" tempting tempt-ing lunch was served. MRS. J. M. BROWNING HOSTESES Fifty-four ladies were the guests of Mrs. J M. Browning last Wcdnesdav afternoon at the Maids' and Matrons' club rooms. The affair was a luncheon party and four tables were set. The decorations were in red and white, red roses and white blossoms being effectively arranged in baskets At each guest's place were red rosebuds and fern and dainty envelope place cards tinted with birds and butterflies in Boft colors. WHITE ROSE CLUB. One of the pretty events of the week was the meeting of the White Rose club at the home of Mrs. A. Scherer on Canyon Road with Mrs. Scherer and Mrs. Fred Walker as hostess. MODERN WOODMEN ENTERTAIN. 1 Wednesday of this week tho Modern Woodmen of America, Utah Camp, No. 9990 gave a delightful entertainment in their hall at which wcro a large number of outsiders, not members of tho order. A program of special musical mu-sical numbers was given. This was the first of a scries of four of such , affairs. On Wednesday February 7, a delegate dele-gate to the state convention will bc-elected. bc-elected. This convention will be held at Tremonton in May at which time a national delegate will be elected to attend the big head camp meeting In Chicago In June. This camp will try and elect Consul Fred F. Williams to represent Utah at tho big head camp meeting at which over three thousand delegates meet in convention. It is the biggest of its kind in the world. On Wednesday, February 14, the Modern Woodmen an dthelr auxiallary tho Royal Neighbors of America will give their annual dance and card parly Thoy will use the entire fraternity fra-ternity block; dancing In the Woodmen Wood-men aide and the Odd Fellow's hall will bo used for cards. On Wednesday, February 21. the lodge will have "An Hour of Optimism" Opti-mism" by N. Corey Hanks, the blind dramatic reader.
