Show LUJTij tai um in mm MISS JEANNIXE ELIZABETH ELIZ-ABETH GOODWIN, became the bride of Gerald Rue Hcpp-ler Hcpp-ler Friday of last week in double-ring rites solemnized in the Wasatch Presbyterian Church, Salt Lake, by the Rev. Dr. Donald G. Christiansen. Christian-sen. The bride is a daughter of Airs. Alma Nadyne Goodwin. Salt Lake, and the late William Wil-liam James Goodwin, native of Beaver. Mr. and Airs. Rue Heppler, Beaver, are parents of the bridegroom. The bride was given in marriage mar-riage by her brother, Lt. William Wil-liam James Goodwin Jr. She wore a floor-length gown of tulle and lace over taffeta. The fitted bodice of lace had long pointed sleeves and a stand-up collar. The bouffant skirt was tiered in lace and tulle. Her fingertip veil was caught to a cap of organza flowers and pearls and she carried white orchids and carnations. car-nations. Attending her were Airs. William James Goodwin Jr. and Mrs. Connell L. Smith. They wore, identically styled gowns of aqua taffeta accented accent-ed with satin, with matching satin bandeaus. They carried white carnations. Gaylen Heppler was best man, and ushers were Wayne Heppler, Ronald Lee Goodwin and Jack, Heppler. After the ceremony a reception re-ception honored the newly-weds newly-weds in Ferry Hall, Westminster Westmin-ster College, after which they left on a honeymoon. Following Follow-ing a few days' visit this week in Beaver they will return to Salt Lake to make their home, and the bridegroom will continue con-tinue post-graduate studies at the University of Utah. Mrs. Heppler is a graduate of Westminster West-minster College. Guests attending the wedding wed-ding and reception from Beaver, Beav-er, besides the family members, mem-bers, were Air, and Mrs. S. Presley Whornham, Martha Louise OF INTEREST to their many friends is the marriage of Miss Marian Munford of Cedar City to David Earl Blackner in an autumn ceremony cere-mony solemnized Sept. 12 in the Salt Lake L D S Temple. The attractive bride is a daughter of Air. and Airs. Warren T. Alunford and Air. Blackner is a son of Air. and Airs. Arthur Lee Blackner of Greenville. Immediately following the ceremony the couple was honored hon-ored at a patio luncheon in the garden of the Kei,th Benson Ben-son residence in Salt Lake. Monday evening a reception honored the popular newly-weds newly-weds at the L D S Institute of Religion in Cedar City. Parents of the bridegroom entertained at an open house in their honor Wednesday evening in the Greenville Ward Church. Greeting the guests were the bride and groom, their parents, and Orson Or-son Blackner as best man. A large crowd enjoyed an evening eve-ning of program -and refreshments. refresh-ments. HIGTON of Nottingham, England, this week announced the marriage of their daughter, daugh-ter, Jill Margaret, to Air. Robert Rob-ert L. Puffer, son of Air. and Airs. Jasper Puffer of Beaver. The marriage ceremony was performed in the Salt Lake L D S Temple on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and on Wednesday evening a reception was hied in their honor in the Beaver First-Third First-Third Ward Chapel. The young couple met in England where Mr. Puffer was serving an L D S mission. Saunders Clark of Parowan. The lovely bride was gowned gown-ed in a white waltz-length dress fashioned with a lace bodice and a bouffant skirt of chiffon. The V-neckline and cap sleeves were edged with scallops of lace. Her bouquet was of pink roses, blue delphinium del-phinium florets, and tiny white carnations. Attending the bride were Hannah Rae Gillies and Jov C. Payne. Bruce Forsyth was best man for the groom. Attending were the parents, Air. and Airs. Clark; grandparents, grand-parents, Air. and Airs. Following the ceremony the guests were entertained at the home of Air. and Airs. Anderson Ander-son and the bridal couple opened their many lovely gifts. The bride is a senior at Beaver High and the groom is a graduate of Parowan High and attended C S U for two years. They will make their home in Parowan. PATSY HOLLIXGS-HEAD HOLLIXGS-HEAD entertained her club Wednesday evening. The ladies la-dies enjoyed an evening of pinochle, with Jackie Mowers! Eddie Hodges and D e o n George winning the prizes. Other members present were Faye Hollingshead, Johnnie Bowden, Bonnie Nowers, Betty Bet-ty McCann, Barbara Thompson, Thomp-son, Alona Lu Gentry, and a guest, Airs. White of Milford. The hostess served a tasty lunch of fruit salad, banana bread and punch. MRS. NELL BLACKETT was hostess to the Beaver Study Club at her home in Greenville Thursday afternoon. after-noon. Airs. Lottie Farrer reported re-ported on the novel entitled "The Gentle House." December, 1957, and Miss Higton arrived in" May of this year. Air. Puffer arrived at home Sunday after a six-month tour of duty with the U S Armv at Fort Ord. They plan to make their home in Cedar Ciy, where Air. Puffer will study at the C S U. AIRS. VERDIE TERRY of Alpine and Air. George A. Terry of Beaver were united in marriage Sept. 10 in the Salt Lake L D S Temple. Following the ceremony they were entertained in Springville by members of Airs. Terry's family. They left Wednesday for a visit with Air. Terry's daughters daugh-ters in Wells, Nev., and with his daughter and son in Bremerton, Brem-erton, Wash. Upon their return re-turn they will make their home in St. George for the winter, working in the Temple. Tem-ple. Visiting the Rex Packards for three days last week were Air. and Airs. Verl Busenbark of Phoenix, Ariz. They especially es-pecially enjoyed a trin into the Beaver Alountains. their husbands enjoyed an outing at Ponderosa Park last Thursday evening. A committee com-mittee of Pearl Thompson, Wanda White, Ann Nelson and Nell Cartwright served a hot supper of chili, salads, cream cake and all accessories. Other club members present pres-ent were Vie Paice, Grace Smith, Leola Limb, Gladys Smith and' Nola Cartwright. THE W W CLUB was entertained en-tertained Thursday at the home of Eva Powell. The ladies la-dies enjoyed an evening of visiting and hand sewing, and the hostess served a very nice lunch. Present were Nell Hutchings, Hutch-ings, Amy Brinkerhoff, Hazel Eyre, Julia Edwards, Gertrude Ger-trude Easton and Rcta Burt. Air. and Airs. Lloyd Hunt and family returned to Beaver several weeks ago to make their home. They are living in the Chalmer Davis home. President Wallace Yardley, accompanied by Nina Rue and Don Erickson, spent Friday and Saturday in Salt Lake. Air. Yardley attended the regular reg-ular monthly meeting of the Utah Water and Power Board. |
