Show PROMINENT CITIZENS WILL ATTEND OPENING Governor, Mayor and Other Officials to Bee First Performance at Pan-tages Pan-tages Theater. With a list of city, county and state officials and notables that Includes many prominent men, the management of the Panlagcs, formerly the Colonial, announce an-nounce box parties for the formal opening open-ing of the houso Wednesday night that promise to make the event one of the most Interesting of the season iu local theatrical circles. Governor Spry and his staff will occupy oc-cupy stage boxes and the chief executive will deliver a short address. Mayor Samuel Sam-uel C. Park and Cltv Commissioners George D. Koyser. R. P. Morris. H. W. Lawrence and W. H. Korns will bo present pres-ent and the mayor Is expected to make a speech. Justice Frlck. Justice Mc-Cartv Mc-Cartv and Justice Strann of the sunrcme court will be present, and President Smith of the Mormon church will have a I box at the opening. Andrew Smith, Jr.. sheriff of Salt Lake county, will be pres- ent with a party of friends, and District i Judge F. C. Loofbourow has taken a box , for the performance. Chief Bywater of the fire department and Chief Grant of the police department arc to bo among those In attendance, and among others who have made up parties for the night are D. D. Sook. secretary to the mayor: II. W. Griffiths and Noble Warrum. The house will be formally opened at 7:30 o'clock tomorrow night and the sec- ' ond performance will start promptly at , 0:15 o'clock. |
