Dorich pointed out the overall inexperience of the team. "We're a young team with a lot of freshman. We have 19 players who weren't here last year. The seniors want to win, but they're learning patience while we develop our chemistry with these new players. Freshmen make freshmen mistakes. The seven previous prefixes of campus numbers have now become "832." Telecommunications Coordinator Nicole Howa was in charge of the change and assures that the longterm benefits "outweigh the present confusion." The current phone directories have a complete listing of the new numbers. Those with caller identification may find that callers from Westminster are still listed under the old prefix. This is because the old numbers are forwarded to the college switchboard to catch callers who may not be aware of the change. Direct numbers to departments and offices have a voice mail system for the next year which will inform callers of the number changes. "We are working toward individual caller identification," Howa said, "but we lack the resources to make that a reality for now.O |
