Show n Events Students prepare to soak up Alcohol Awareness Week Oct. by Ginn if Gale Westminster students are participating in the prevention of alcohol abuse by promoting Alcohol Awareness Week on campus, Oct. 19-2- 5. An important partnership can be formed between students, faculty, administration and the community to encourage students to make responsible decisions regarding alcohol, said Jackie Haus, director of campus life. "President Dick's support of Alcohol Awareness Week at Westminster has made development of the weeks activities possible. Activities on campus will coincide with similar students efforts nationwide during National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week (NCAAW). These student events stress education and the idividuals ultimate responsibility in making responsible decisions. Now in its fourth year, the national campaign is sponsored by the Task Force on Alochol and Other Substance Abuse Isues, which represents student affairs professionals across the country.
