Show news Robinson Room VCR Stolen by Angela Russell Over the Thanksgiving break a video cassette recorder was stolen from the Robinson Room. According to Richard Brockmyer, director of plant operations, the machine was last seen on Wednesday. Nov. 26. Professor Charles Tripp discovered it was missing on Saturday. Nov. 29. According to Brockmyer. the machine is kept in the Robinson Room in a cabinet. The cabinet itself does not have a lock on it. but the Robinson Room is always locked. Claudia Marques, director of campus scheduling, said, The VCR was taken either by someone who knew how to get in a back way. or by someone with a key thats not supposed to have one." She explained. It was the best machine of its kind on campus. It was bought specifically to go with the big screen TV." The lock on the entrance to the Robinson Room has been changed and a padlock has been put on the cabinet to discourage any further thefts. According to Marques, the cabinet was not left open by the thief. Brockmyer said that although staff and faculty members have not been individually contacted, he feels that enough people know of the incident and would let him know if they had borrowed it. Midnight Breakfast Kicks Off Finals by Rond a Byrne Faculty and staff will serve students and provide them with entertainment at the annual midnight breakfast.
