This generous response to a most worthy cause indicates an admirable sense of civic responsibility on the part of our personnel, and seems to me to be indicative of the increasing role that Westminster College is playing in the life of Salt Lake City. Please allow me to express my per- sonal appreciation to all who have had a part in making Westminsters part in this drive a credit to our school. HOWARD D. Well, students, we now have planned to continue another year of school to reach a higher goal in our social and community life. This goal we are reaching can easily be solved .by some students, but others have found it a great problem. On and on we are seeking to improve the betterment of ourselves. Well, reader, the world is a hard and sorrowful world, and we must learn as we go along. To reach this goal which we are seeking we must have a will power, a desire of determination of our goal, wisdom, to use knowledge at its best and activity to put ourselves into practical use. Thus, will, wisdom and activity are important in our every, ,,t day life. Is school hard? This may be answered in two different ways. Logical ways, yes and no! Never give it a second thought, for school Is like a pencil sharpener to make out minds sharp and able to combat th? harder problems late in life. The education you are now getting is a necessity to yourself, your neighbor and your nation. So do the best you can and success will be easy to find.
