These little creatures were born in the imagination of English pilots during the darkest hours of World War II. In time, they became the trusted companions of our American pilots on all bombing missons. To you who are leaving us, we give you the following Gremelins: FAITH, to keep alive your hope and dream of a better to morrow. May Faith bring you comfort through every moment of indecision and crises. COURAGE, to inspire your fighting spirit when the feeling of despair and desolation strikes. HUMOR, to laugh with you when the top sergeant or chief petty officer gets in your hair. PRATER, to intercede to God for divine assistance for you and yours when time allows only your heart to pray. CHARITY, to guide you so that you will be constantly kind; not only to each other but to the people of an enemy country. Share a bite and give a pat to the homeless dog or cat you may encounter! JUSTICE, to remind you of the great struggle made by our Founding Fathers for the relig ious and political liberties that are our birthright and which we wish to share with others. Both are held in the large lounge here at the dorm sev-.erevenings a month. Some of the students are always eager to clean up" afterwards . . . help wonder why! I believe theres to be a dance after the game with Carbon. And Feb. 3 the Frosh are having a dance, also. Youre going with Rospierre? (Oh, heavens), I mean, good-lookin- al isnt that nice. And you know what, Hysteria? On the ninth of February the girls at the dorm and the other WOW are having their Slumber Patry. Lotsa fun, huh? All for now, Hysteria ! Bye ! FOSTER HALL Congratulations to Jack Armstrong and Jerry Proctor, who were married during the holidays and wont be staying around the dorm anymore. Nevada claimed Charles Knight and Bud Farr for the vacation, but Farr ended up in Vernal, and Wayne Halstead, after spending a few days in Ar-cIdaho, also went to Venral. John Elordi and Blaine Beardall went to Idaho, too. Some stayed in Utah: Don Baxter, Bob Christensen, Paul Martyniw, Hal Per-haDick Smith, Alan Scow, Bob Wilson, Rodney Flint, George Hall, Gordon Lambson, and Dale Gebo. Sam Hattori worked up in Reliance, Wyoming, but returned for Christmas dinner with the Gebos. George Hall stuck around, but his car was struck by a new Cadillac. The Cad wasnt damaged, but Georges car needs about three hundred bucks of improvements.. Prof. Day went to Kansas (no 6now, he says). Boris Dodson went to Winner, South Dakota. Elliot Haynes went to California and so did Bill Gold and Harold Wylie. The last two mentioned went down in Mrs. Sickels 1935 Plymouth. Harold ended up in Phoenix for o, m, . |
