The Utah State Fair happens around Labor Day weekend each year, offering local bands, food stands, rides and flocks of attendees who throw themselves into the heart of the madness. The crowds at the fair get the art of entertainment in the form of rides, magicians, food, music and entertainers. The community of fairgoers is a diverse group something the fairs organizers are attempting to tap into this year. The fair is all about the community, said Jeff Kooring, the Utah State Parks media specialist. Diversity exposes me and others to new ideas and ways of thinking, Schaffer said. Art and culture are the collective contributions of humanitys expressions, creativity and way of thinking.
