President Charles Dick went from president to Santa Claus when he played Santa on Monday. Dec. 3rd. He was at Syme Lounge from 1 1:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Everyone had the opportunity to have his or her picture taken with Santa and tell him what she or he wanted for Christmas. I think it is really neat he did it for us. As busy as he is, he took time to be our of Santa, said Rick Andrae, this that sponsored the ASWC, organization activity. Magda Fajardo, a sophomore from Colombia, said, I was trying to find out who was playing Santa so I could have my picture taken with him, but I could not tell who he was. Finally I decided he was too thin to be a Santa Ho, Ho, Ho, vice-preside- nt anyway. Some people did their Christmas shopping at Westminster during Monday and Tuesday at the pottery sale, sponsored by the pottery class and Professor Kay Kuzminski. You do not see too much pottery around and this is of a good quality, said Kuzminski, "Everything is so expensive, but by buying pottery you can give something handmade and at a reasonable price." Some of the profits made at the sale will go to the studio to buy new materials and the rest to the students who sold their work at the pottery sale. On Tuesday, Dec. 3rd everyone celebrated and cheered with drinks at the "Festive Cheer, sponsored by The Oasis. The Oasis, Westminsters premiere private club, was founded by Campus Ministry, Counseling and Career Services and Campus Life. The members of the club are students who participated in the Wei 1th Week activities. We will have more activities on a monthly basis, said Doug Noertker, campus life director, adding that the membership still is open for those who want to participate. non-alcohol- ic The Westminster players had abetter reason to celebrate at the Festive Cheer. Kaelin is a member of the Westminster of Vicky Curry, community and an director of the Westminster choir. Kaelin added a special flavor to our celebration, said Noertker. The Womens Board of Westminster College was also present at the Winterfest They sold all kinds of food, baked goods and handicrafts at the Womens Board Bazaar on Wednesday, Dec. 4th. We all had a good time, said Lar-raiNickerson, president of Women3 Board adding, Guests as well as members enjoyed the Westminster Choir very much, especially President Dick playing his flute. The only activity that was uncertain at the Winterfest was the Snow Sculpture Contest When we organized the activities there was a lot of snow on the ground, so we were counting on it said Noertker. The Winterfest activities finished with the ASWC Christmas Dance at the Salt Palace on Saturday Dec. 7th.
