First and foremost on the staffs collective minds was the recent visit paid to the Forum office by the Orkin Man. Countless cockroaches had been killed, sealed and delivered to authoritative personnel here on campus, but to no avail. The infestation continued. Then one day last month, the Orkin Man appeared on campus and in the regular process light-hearte- d of singlingother possible infestation problems, was direct to the Forum office by a concerned staff member. Glory be and hallelujah! Not only did he spray for the little buggers this time, he promised to return over spring break and give em a second dose! For the Orkin Man we hereby award these words of praise for delivering us from the hands (and antennae) of the enemy. And for the persons, whoever they be, that kept telling the O.M. the Forum office was just a day room we hereby award the privilege of joining us for our next 2:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. layout session. Also, this bugs for you. While such an improvement as this may not seem of major significance to some on campus, the Forum staff is willing to stand up for With the possible demise of the Alta Club as a final bastion of places reserved for men only, the college could consider turning the bathroom into an Westminster alumni club. Or the senior class could consider putting their gift to Westminster posterity, the information kiosk, adjacent to the shiny new urinals. It would be quite an appropriate place for all-ma- le urinals. These two porcelain and steel wonders of modern plumbing are unquestionably a urinary delight to all who find the need to answer the call while in Foster Hall. And in an apparent honorarium to these two new Westminster landmarks, the bathroom has been repained with a warm, spring hue. The spaciousness of this powder room, which is larger than some classrooms and many professors offices, truly makes it a sight to behold. Since the college budget for next year has yet to be finished, perhaps some money could be appropriate to furnish the room with a couch and some paintings. it! Since the floor under the new urinals has yet to be retiled, the development office could get involved in the fun too. Cement could be poured under the new urinals and the donor of the ' year could be immortalized by placing his, or her, footprints in it. Its not as good as naming a building after someone, but these are the Reagan years. For now, however, well settle for the urinals. Things are improving at Westminster. Now if we could just convince the cockroaches to go over to Foster Hall to use the new urinals. Dear Editor: I wish to express my concern with the intelligence of the people on this campus. In reading the last issue of the Forum, I stumbled across a letter written to Dean Fitzer. As the President of ASWC I am appalled with this letter. The present administration has been doing an excellent job communicating to me about what is happening on our campus. It seems that the students are concerned about what happens on campus, but why do they insist on listening to idle gossip and jumping to conclusions without checking out the facts. ASWC is supposed to be the liaison between the students and administrators. The administrators have been using us in this way so why havent the students? If the authors of the letter to Dean Fitzer would have come to me for information, they would have found out the facts. The authors of the letter, in the end, restored a little of my faith that we have intelligent people on campus. They did this when their names were withheld. This shows me that they arent as ignorant as the rest of the letter portrays them to be.
