Stockholders of the Universal Uranium and Milling Corp., 1157 First Security Bank Build- ing, will vote on the proposed merger with Little Star Uranium, Casper, Wyo. Conditions will be on a 1 for 1 share stock split basis. Announcement of the impending action was ftiade jointly Thursday by Elmer K. Aagaard, Universal vice president, and Carl Fischer, treasurer. Little Star is headed by A. Lloyd Powers of Casper. The firm has cleared full registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and has in its treasdolury more than a lars, according to Mr. Aagaard. Part of this money will be used for completion and expansion of Universals new mill in the Colorado Plateau area. half-millio- n The mill will be the first to process ore of high lime content without penalty. At present, all mills impose a penalty on ore of more than 6 per cent lime con- tent. Copper King Dies At California Residence MOAB, Utah Moabs AUVIE chapter is completing plans for a uranium symposium on April 6 and 7, according to Clement K. Chase, chairman. Open to the public, the gathering will be the first of its kind in the uranium capital, now well established as a logical center for a U308 conference. Uranium mines and a uranium mill will be used as lecture halls as well as Moabs Club Uranium, where all technical papers will be delivered. Reservations for the symposim and lodging in busy Moab can be made with the AIME Symposium Committee, p. o. Box 877, Moab, Utah. Both professionals and amateurs interested in the new industry are expected from five surrounding states; speakers from farther distances have been invited. E. J. Mayhew will act as dean of the symposium. Other speakers and their topics include: J. Bruce Clemmer, Solvent Extraction, Robert W. Bernick, The Uranium Dr. Charles A. Rasor, Genesis of Black Uranium Ores of. the Colorado Plateau, llelmer Johnson and J. W. Joyce, The Monticello Mill, James Quigley, Development of Uranium Mines, K. A. Phillips, Uranium Feed Materials, and possibly others. A social program for the ladies is being arranged and a -dance is planned for Friday evening, April 6, as a social event for all members and their guests.'
