The market for nonferrous metals was an uninteresting affair until yesterday, when inquiry for copper showed quite an improvement and the price firmed up in nearly all quarters. This sudden interest in copper was interpreted as signifying that producers had virtually arrived at an agreement for marketing and cur tailment in production, much as has already been announced in unofficial versions of the proceedings.
