Federal Uranium Corporation will sell certain of its assets, including all stock in its wholly-owne- d subsidary, Plateau Mining Company, at an auction sale Friday, April 19, at 10 a.m. in the Newhouse Hotel. By selling certain properties having a high tax cost basis in relation to estimated current value, nearly half of an anticipated $830,000 capital gains tax can be saved by Federal, W. D. Plateau Mining Company, which will be sold at the auction, is producing uranium ore from the Yellow Circle district near Moab, Utah. This company reported a profit of about $25,000 for the past year. Federal also will sell all the capital stock in its Canadian subsidary, Great Northern Uranium Exploration Company, Ltd., holding claims in the Beaverlodge area of northwest Saskatchewan near Uranium City. No ore has been produced from these claims. In all 2 M separate parcels are expected to be offered at the auction sale classified into the following seven groups, which will be sold in the order shown: (Beginning at 10 a.m.) Group A: Two parcels of mining claims (mostly patented), located in Big Cottonwood mining District, Salt Lake County, Utah.
