Region Three competition begins at 10 a m. today at East. Subsequent sessions will start at noon, 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 in preparation for the finalsat7:30. Region Two matches begin at 1 p.m. at Alta, with the finals set for 7 three Green Sheet area regions will be competing for trips to state today (Thursday). East, Alta and Vernal will be the site of tou- rnaments involving squads from regions Three, Two and Seven, p.m. Competition in Region Seven starts at 11 a.m. in Vernal. Subsequent rounds are slated for 1:30 p.m., 3 and 6, with the finals at 7:30. Most of the local attention will focus on East high, where four Green Sheet area schools will be competing. Three of those will be out to unseat defending region champion and current favorite, Granger. The team that may be in the best position to do that is Granite, which showed rapid improvement during the latter part of the season.
