Visser and the late Mack E. McBride, has received the Eagle Scout award. A member of troop 672, with Tim Miller as scoutmaster, he earned a total of 29 merit badges. His favorites were the fishing and stamp collecting badges. He has been interested in stamp collectiong since he was 6 years old. For his Eagle project, the youth worked with other scouts from his area to collect aluminum cans in the canyons, earning money which he used to purchase manuals to donate to the ward library. Septemwill be Church Loyalty Month, with special celebrations being planned for worship services at Granger Community Christian church. These themes will be developed through sermon and song, with special music planned each week. September will also mark the launching of the Bethel Bible study series, an adult study of the entire Bible. The initial phase will train teachers for two years. The teachers will then offer special classes on a seven-weerotating schedule. Oct. 4 and 5 will conclude the celebration of Church Loyalty Month. Special activities on Oct. 4 will include an allchurch bazaar, rummage sale and dinner.
