WE FEEL that audiences will enjoy the opera because of the quality of the cast and the productions highly entertaining plot, he said. Central element of the story is that a beggar appears at the door of an old maid, asking for a handout, and he is let in because of the urging of Evelyn Harris, also a voice teacher at the college. BOB, THE beggar, is performed by Martin L. Kelly and Patricia Williams, a WSC graduate, has the role of a gossiping friend of the old maids. With the exception of Mr. Kelly, who also does the shows stage direction, cast members performed the Laetitia, a young maid. THE TRAMP is handsome, and all the women of the household find him desirable. But the old maid, Miss Todd, discovers a dangerous thief has escaped. His description matches that of the beggar. Cast as the ofd maid is Inga Smith, an instructor of voice at Weber State. The Young maid, Laetitia, is played by opera ten years ago at Weber. State. MUSICAL accompaniment for the show will be provided by Mary Ray Johnson, who teaches piano and theory of music at WSC. Tickets are priced at $2 for adults and $1 for students and faculty.
