She arrived Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. and returned to New York on Thursday. Brit-tani- Urry. Mrs. Leslie Finn of Rapid City, South Dakota was a houseguest of Mr. and Mrs. Sam McAllister and family for three days. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Scoffield last week were her sister and brother-in-laMr. and Mrs. Whitey Breaid of Portland, Ore. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bundy of Hannah, Wyo. were weekend guests at the home of their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Perkins. They came for the awarding of Eagle Scout badges to their three grandsons, Am, Ryan and Burton Perkins in a Scout Eagle special Ceremony held Sunday evening in the Kaysville Tenth LDS Ward. It is a rare opportunity when three brothers receive Eagle Scout awards at the same ceremony. Their other grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Perkins, as well as many other relatives, were in attendance for the special hos- tesses. and Mrs. R.A.F. McCormick entertained at a Sunday evening supper for members of their family. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ron McCormick and daughter Emily, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bone and children and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Wilhelmsen and daughter Kari, of Kaysville. Mr. and Mrs. George Talbot, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kemp, attended the play, Mac and Mabel at the Pioneer Memorial Theater in Salt Lake City, Saturday evening. Larry Eugene Kettenring, Two invitations have been received by the Southern Utah State College Symphony Band. THE SYMPHONY Band has been selected to present a formal concert at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. and in addition, the organization has been invited to perform at the National Music Educators Convention at their Bicentennial Convention to be held in Atlantic City, New York. Dr. Steven W. Allen, director, announced the invitations and pointed out that the invitation is very selective, one that few professional per- forming groups have ever received. DR. ALLEN, former resident of Kaysville and graduate of Davis High, is director of the band. He is assisted by Professor Earl Bruning. In addition to the invitation to perform at Kennedy Center, the additional invitation to perform at the nation convention for the educators organization with over a membership of 60,000. Dr. Allen points out that the only other performing ensemble from Utah to perform at the Kennedy Center is the Utah Symphony Orchestra.
