To begin with, the student body of choice 7th, 8th and ftth graders from Farmington, Ksysville and Layton were happy to have a school of their own. Already there was that intangible quality 4-- H '4-- H known as school spirit. Its faculty was d and knew all the intricacies of handling and under standing young teen-ager- s. They enjoy bantering with him, but understand when he is laying down the law that he means what he says. One reason he succeeds so well with the pupils is that he thoroughly enjoys his job. Not from Dick do you hear cries of delinquent and problem. He saya it does his heart good to see all the boys and girls changing classes and walking in the halls, for in' stance, ' arid to know that there are more than a hundred top teens going by for every one that . is wayward. Turkey, too, was something special then, and not as cheap as hamburger, to be looked forward to for days before the actual feast. There would be not one but two golden birds cooked in a coal oven along with a succulent pork roast so we wont run short (and, believe me, we never did!).
