Correspondent '"'Mrs. Arnold Bodily was taken to an Ogden hospital last Thursday, where she is undergoing treatment and tests for a rheumatic condiiton, from which she has been suffering for a number of weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Elton J. Bennett and sons, Vance and Norman, vis- ited Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Gregory and family at their home in Farmington. The Gregorys youngest son, Harold, leaves this week for the n L. D S. mission 62-J- Swiss-Germa- field. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra T. Thurgood left last week for St. George and Mesa, Arizona, where they plan to spend the next month. They were accompanied on the trip by Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Olson, of Ogden. The Syra Lita club members were entertained last Thursday evening by Mrs. Elwin Ellis at her Lay-tohome in Skyline Mrs. Darrell C. Ellis was assisting hostess. Mrs. Newell Galley reviewed the book, The Visclub memion for the twenty-fiv- e bers who were present. Mrs. Phil Barber and Mrs. Lacy Griddle honored their sister, Mrs. Shelby Tanner, with a shower last Friday afternoon at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph llansen. She will spend a few days with Mrs. Lorraine Barber liefore returning home, late this week. Mrs. Gil Robinson is improved from a recent illness and hopes to lie home late this week from a Salt Lake hospital. Mr. Jim Moon is recovering from an appendectomy in a Salt Lake hospital, last Saturday. Mrs. Ella Van Fleet has returned from an Ogden hospital and is much improved at the present time. The E. B. Gregory family held a dinner on Tuesday evening honoring Mr. Harold Gregory who left on Wednesday for the east coast to embark on a ship bound for Europe, where he will serve a German mission for the L. D. S. church. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. IjcGrande Gregory and family, and Bishop and Mrs. Milton Hess and sons. Mr. and Mrs. Elton J. Bennett and two sons were Sunday evening guests of the Gregory family. Mrs. B. K. Farnsworth of Salt Lake City and Miss Nettie Pearce of Montpelier, Idaho, spent Saturday at the C. R. Sorenson home. Wilson said that .the total registered Boy Scout membership in the Ogden urea council, is now, for the first time in the history of the council, over 4,000.
