In order to keep up with the national average of butter consumption It would require 200 million pounds of milk to supply Utah with this product each year. In the making of ice cream it would require another 22 million pound of milk and an addithe tional IS million pounds to make . . state's cheese. If the average amount of milk and milk products were used in this state, then the present annual supply would run ahort by 132,000,000 pounds, Miss Miller computes. The farmers are now receiving about 1 cent per quart for the milk they sell while their city cousins are paying 10 cents per quart for the milk they purchase. Even at 10 cents per quart. Miss Miller says, milk is the cheapest food that can be purchased because of its nutritive value. There are more ways of consuming milk than drinking it from a cup, and Miss Miller will explain the preparation of attractive milk dishes in a radio broadcast over station KSL, on New Years day from 1:35 to 1:45 p. m. At that time she will also recommend plans for cleaning up the Milky Way and making the milk consumption figures in this state rise during the coming year. oqe-ma- n w addi-tion- 1 Mrs. Archie Hale Z. ,Vid! .Funeral run, age "petite 70, day in the West waH Parrish, a former ident, died Sunday heart Pc, ?u P Parrot frXk on, Mark He was born in Wood, 2, 1863, a son of Hen.
