George Morgan was taken to the veterans hospital in Salt Lake City Monday where he will receive treatment for a stomach ailment. Mr. Morgan has been in a rather bad condition for the jtast two months. The Layton baseball team will hold a business meeting and social tonight at the town hall for members of the team and its officers. Mr.and Mrs. Zenas Bennett had as their dinner guests Wednesday evening, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Bennett of Syracuse. Mrs. Ruben Kilfoyle, Mrs. Henry Flint and Miss Vera Uyton spent the past weekend visiting friends in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs.- - Irvin Egbert announce the engagement of their daughter, Helen, to Frank Day, son of Orson Day. The marriage will take place at an early date. Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Kilfoyle were honored with a surprise party given at their home by members of their families Wednesday evening.
