It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, firm, association or corporation, conducting, taking charge of or owning any public or private Dance Hall or Dancing Academy, or any place or resort where dancing is engaged in, to conduct or carry on said business of dancing without first procuring a License there for from the Clerk of Davis County, State of Utah. Section H. The License provided for in Section I of this ORDINANCE shall be issued to any respectable person of good moral character, by the Clerk of Davis County, upon the approval of the County Commissioners of Davis County; said License so except upon issued to be by the terms thereof nonassignable, and to be of Davis Commissioners said the of County; approval granted for a period of Three Months from the date thereof, and the applicant therefor, shall before the issuance to him of said license, pay- - to said Clerk of Davis County, a fee of Two Dollars ($2.00) covering said period. It shall be unlawful for any person to become intoxicated in any" public or private Dance, Hall or Dancing Academy, or on any premises connected , with the same, and it shall be unlawful for any person or persons association or corporation maintaining or conducting any such public or private Dance Hall or Dancing Academy, or for any floor manager, or other person or persons in charge of such Dance Hall or Dancing Academy, to allow; or permit any intoxicated, boisterous or disorderly person to enter be or remain therein, or to allow or permit dancing in such public or private Dance Hall or Dancing Academy unless the same is fully lighted. And it shall be unlawful for any person to engage in any profane, vulgar or obscene language in such Dance Ilall or Dancing Academy, or in any entrance, entrances, approach or approaches thereto, or premises adjacent thereto. Any person or persons, firm, corporation, floor manager or other person violating any of the provisions of this ORDINANCE, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fiwi of not more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or imprisonment in Jail for not more than Thirty days for the first offense, and for each subsequent offense, by a fine of not more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) nor less than Five Dollars ($5.00) or by imprisonment .in the County Jail for. not more than Thirty Days, nor less than Three Days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Section IV. Any person or persons, tearing down or defacORDINANCE when the same is posted, or placed upon this ing the wall of any building,- - or other place, - shall - be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof - shall be fined in any sum not more than TEN DOLLARS ($10.00).
