Maybe the game is a little blow moving and hard to concentrate on at tannine Johnson, the slate (Jueert In natlon.lt It-e- times but to me there ts no funnier person to watch than tin third bus, coat h on a baseball team, c J ,i if niE FL'N really stalls when one of the batters yets on ha a., this is wht n the man at thud base really shows hts stuff. Nothing really happens when the base runner ts at first base, both he and the butler yet the same set of hand signals. But when that runner gets to second base the fun tx gins. After hours and hours of practice time the man at third fiase still believes it necessary to explain every option to the runner at second. All this depends on the number of outs in an inning If there is less than two outs then the man at third shows his gtxxi stuff. "FREEZE on a line drive, tf the ball is hit between first and second on the ground you're coming hard to third, if the ball is hit between second and third then wait and make sure it's through the infield." Obviously the runner has never done this before or why would the coach be telling him what to do? He doesn't just do this once, but anytime during the game he gets one of his runners to second, he gives the same instructions. Maybe baseball players have the world's shortest memories. THE BEST part of this act though, to me anyway, comes when the man at third is going through the signals for the batter and the batter isnt even looking at him, but this dm'sn't stop half the coaches. The next time youre at a baseball game that you consider boring, try watching the third base coach. If they dont get you laughing, then nothing will. - Davis High KAYSVILLE flexed their track and field muscles last week and the humiliaresult was a tion over a Logan club.
